Maybe only if you're an Eagles fan like me ;)

They have tons of flat screens behind the bar and a huge screen in the conversation nook if you want a larger view screen. Friendly bar tenders too.

Bar Louie Tavern and Grill - So I'm not a huuuge fan of watching football in public bars. But the food at Bar Louie is great, and the restaurant layout is very open - you won't feel cramped, and can see a lot from really any vantage point. The bar is big and has quite a bit of seating, and the TVs are large so you won't kill your neck trying to glimpse that last pass. The Gallery Place location makes it easy to access via metro, and if you're looking for fellow "sport of kings" enthusiasts who are loud, rowdy and like a good time, you'll be right at home.

Black Fox! its a really classy upscale bar in the center of the city.. you can even buy a deal for it here: http://www.trubates.com/washington-dc/offer/9832/25-for-50-continental-cuisine-boutique-wines-cocktails/
hope it's classier than the website you posted - yikes!
Seriously. Ad attack! What do you specifically like about Black Fox, Eric?
Good place for Jazz, definitely not so great to watch football. Also, the service is pretty terrible and the food is only so, so. I prefer Pour House or Ventnor Sports Cafe to watch a game.
Cute puppy, though.

Old Dominion Brewhouse (ODB) at the Convention Center is where you'll find me in the Fall watching my adopted team, Alabama play. The alumni have a deal with the bar (as do a couple of other alum associations). They have great normal bar food (yay for waffle fries!), some more upscale and healthy dishes, and then, of all things sushi and asian items. Even unfiltered sake! Completely random, but great tvs and use of space. And heck, if your team wins and you want to keep drinking to celebrate (or drown your tears of loss) you can sit your beer tower next to the skeeball machines and play until you can't see straight. There's always Buffalo Billiards in Dupont where you, again, can keep busy playing social sports while watching big screens. My favorite though, might actually be Nellie's on U street - you can catch the usual sports and the womens' versions too. They alsoshow other random sports as well, the drinks are well made (though they have beer too of course) and the chicken salad sliders are to die for. This bar does quite a bit to give back and backs many social teams and leagues in the district - they put your team pics up on the wall too. They also have a diverse crowd - while technically considered a gay bar with it's own drag trivia nights, it caters to everyone. Not a snobby place at all. And oddly a great place to get random Latin food - who knew?
Thanks for all the great ODB information, Amanda. When is the best time to hit up the bar?

Ventnor Sports Cafe in Adams Morgan. First off, bottomless mimosas AND bloody mary's on the weekends. Second, plenty of space and TV's to watch games and really tasty bar food.

I haven't been, but I'll definately check it out - it's been mentioned more than once :) Thanks!
What's the best food there?

Pretty typical bar food, nothing too crazy. I really like their wings and nachos. Definitely not the place to go if you are counting calories.
