Avoid the mad lines and eat at the breakfast bar instead.

The burger is great, the booze is strong, the waitstaff is australian.

The crowd is worth the wait (and the people watching is half the fun). Huevos Rancheros are incredibly good, and afterward you can hit the green market or flea market across the street. A nice way to spend Sunday morning.

An eclectic mix of families, funky 20-something couples, hipster hooligans and European imports flock to Moutarde, a très chic French bistro and bar with an authentically un-American vibe. Croque madames mingle with steaming cups of coffee and the pleasant din of hung-over friends reviving themselves with gruyere cheese and the hair of the dog. Ideal for everything from wow-ing the in-laws to catching with up long-time-no-see cronies, Moutarde is a dapper and delicious venue.

Elegant American Steakhouse great for Sunday brunch. "Bottoms Up" prix fixe menu is diverse and pairs with five cocktails of your choosing; mimosas, rose bellinis, or bloody mary's for 25$. Steak and eggs is the ideal choice, but the french toast is just as notable. Don't take my word for it however, Anthony Bourdain himself has been known to come in and grub on occasion.

Cool, down-to-earth crowd with a celebration-of-life sort of feel. Happy vibes and good, hearty food.

Must try the potatoes with truffle oil! Nice spot to enjoy the backyard in the summertime.

Petite Abeille - eggs florentine & mimosas. better to go in small groups, tends to be a wait for more than 2-3 people

Applewood in Brooklyn. Amazing cooking, great atmosphere, and a bargain at the price!

Such a tough decision because there are sooo many good places but I think it has to be Five Leaves in Williamsburg. The Big Breakkie is just THE best...add steak and you're in love. Cheeky little mimosa and you're set.

Calle Ocho Llc! Best sangria AND bottomless glasses.

What do you order here? Sounds good!

ANYTHING on the brunch menu is good. The three egg omelet, buttermilk pancakes, eggs florentine are always crowd pleasers. The kicker is you get unlimited brunch cocktails and even if you drink only 2, you get what you pay for.

What's your favorite thing at Five Leaves?
28
OMG! Love Five Leaves, there's usually a queue but worth the wait! My favorite thing is the Big Breakkie and add Steak (it's worth the extra $6 - they cook it so nicely). I usually have it with avocado, mushrooms and poached eggs. Sooo good. Their hash browns are so good too!

Sounds like something that would be right up my alley. What's your favorite thing to order there?

Westville East. The smoky mac n' cheese is to die for..if you aren't counting those calories. Also, the chocolate waffles with bacon and fruit. Perfection.

Chocolate waffles...mac and cheese? I'm there.

Egg
What is Egg? What do you enjoy about it? Appropriate name for a brunch restaurant.

Egg in Williamsburg. I recommend the buttermilk biscuits & mushroom gravy. But be prepared to wait, even on weekdays!
I'd wait for buttermilk biscuits & mushroom gravy. Should I bring a tent?
28
Yes Egg is well worth the wait but I'd get there early just so you're not waiting for over an hour. I would recommend Eggs Rothko - really really tasty! I love it how they serve your coffee in a little french press too.

Cucina Italiana Paprika on Saint Marks is awesome. A $12 prix fixe brunch gets you a coffee or tea with free refills, plus an OJ, mimosa or bellini, and a main course -- I like the Eggs Benedict with pancetta!
sounds awesome

Tartine, no question

Café Orlin in the East Village. This place is delicious and actually knows how to do Middle Eastern food. Diana's Breakfast is out of this world if you are looking for something savory, pumpkin pancakes if you are in the mood for something sweet.

Calle Ocho Llc ! Where bottomless mimosas are actually bottomless. WOO!
Meaning they won't cut you off, no matter how bubbly you get?
