Come on, there is an old Italian Grandma making the pasta be hand right in the front of the restaurant! What more do you need? When you go I beg you, try the squid ink pasta with the rose lobster sauce! TRY IT!

Hands down, the best pizza I have ever had. No joke, it is incredible. This authentic Neapolitan restaurant features creative, traditional Italian dishes at a great price. The staff is friendly, and you know its good, because its always crowded.

Cafe Milano - exclusive, sexy, fresh, flavor-oooh-lala. Not the cheapest place; it is Georgetown, after all. But not too expensive if you can restrict yourself to salad and a glass of wine. The atmosphere is very sexy with dim but adequate evening lighting and relaxing music. I noticed younger couples, but many more late 20s and older enjoying a date night. There were more than a few attractive, well-dressed single men at the bar, which is placed tastefully to the left as you walk in, but does not interfere with the diners. The food was incredible. My family is Italian, and I know Italian food. It's fresh, flavorful, and each dish is so thoughtfully crafted, from the seasonings, sauces and spices to the presentation on your table. You cannot visit DC and NOT go to Cafe Milano.

Ristorante Piccolo is also a tie with Filmonena's for me, but in a very different way. Located in a teeny, tiny, rowhouse, its quite cozy and perfect for an intimate night for two.
