I've only been here once, but it was amazing. Extremely expensive, but definitely worth the experience.

depends pm what you want. if you want it quick: visit the Greek Spot, a carryout in the U Street corridor off 10th St. Have time, take the train a few stops down to Chinatown (though we are supposed to call it Penn Quarter now) to Zaytinya, a Mediterranean fusion of Greek, Turk, and Lebanese cuisine.

Cava Mezze Salt, pepper, oregano, olive oil, and lemon are self-professed rules here - simple and delicious. Favorite mezze: haloumi, charcoal grilled Cypriot cheese.

Chevy Chase Lounge If you are in the mood for mouthwatering lamb, perfectly cooked fresh fish, overflowing Greek salads, and addictive fried calamari, you will love the service and prices. They have great drinks too and never balk at large parties.

This place can be busy but it is worth it so allow extra time for waiting at the bar or better yet, call ahead!

Greek Deli & Catering Don't let the long lines discourage you--your best bet to avoid them might be to go in before 11! Huge, hearty portions of perfectly seasoned meat, and a grumpy old owner who's a more lovable version of the soup nazi, this unassuming takeout place is wayy better and authentic than any overpriced Greek restaurant you can find.
