While Boboquivari's still has my vote for best steak, Bourbon Steak wins for their amazing apps, sides and desserts. The Truffled Mac and Cheese and the entire dessert menu is incredible. Make sure to grab a pre-dinner drink at Clock Bar as well...

Smitten Ice Cream is pretty awesome...
10
I've never had @Smitten Ice Cream before. What is your favorite ice cream here, Matt?

CrawlSF Pub Crawls, of course ;-)

when do they take place?
24
Hi Margaret. They take place every few weeks. The next one is on 9/17 in North Beach!
24
1
Volcanic Beef. That's all you need to know...
24
2
A great bloody mary and a great atmosphere for brunch...
24

I really liked this spot when it used to be Plumpjack Cafe and they have really kept up the level of service, great food and great atmosphere...

Great club and always has a great crowd. There have been booking some amazing talent lately as well...
24
2
That Takes the cake has a great selection and they are always really friendly.

I like Slim's and Rickshaw Stop. The BarrelHouse is also a cool secret venue...
6
Where is Barrellhouse? Not a secret anymore!
24
Ha! Barrelhouse is a cool spot in SOMA. Guess it's not really a secret, but the events they have there are usually invite only. They get a lot of up and coming bands to play there and it kind of feels like they are playing in your living room. I actually heard that it used to be a house where a famous SF photographer lived. Rumor has it that he created the concept of the Marlboro Man...

People keep telling me about this place. Why do people love it so much?
Strong, delicious coffee...
24
1
I just found this place and it is absolutely amazing! They are known for their homemade Salami, but Roast Beef and cheese is my favorite...
24
2
It's a cross between Lucca's Delicatessen and Giordano Bros....
26
Have any favorites? I'm a big fan of Italian sausage.
6
Lucca has some of the best homemade Italian sausage. You should definitely check it out!
25
I could sit and eat it all day every day.
26
Uh oh, don't get me stuck on pasta dishes, they'll have to come drag me out of the place.
8
Oooh, do they happen to have Lasagna? I am suck a sucker for that delicious layered goodness...
24
I'm sure they do, but I never had it. I actually love the Lasagna at The Grove...
32
I did not know that the Grove has Lasagna...never really thought of it as a go to spot for Italian...I usually stick with the Mexican inspired dishes...I will have to try it some time, although I have to say Pane and Vino is my go to for old school, hole in the wall neighborhood Italian.

L'Osteria Del Forno has the best Ravioli I have ever had. I've been there about 10 times and never even tried anything else. It's a really tiny place, so there could be a wait during busy times...
10
A trusty but reliable thing is hard to come by these days. When I venture out to L'Osteria Del Forno, Matt I'll try to break your streak.

I completely forgot about Burger Bar. Good burgers, too.

Epic Roasthouse has great views in addition to amazing food and a great wine list...

This was a difficult one. Umami is pretty awesome, plus their sides, beers and desserts are great as well...

Great Mongolian Beef and Walnut Prawns

1
This place is awesome. I would recommend everything on the menu. It is a little crowded and the tables are close together, so be prepared.
12
what's this place?
24
You would barely even notice it if you walked past it. They have the best ravioli I have ever tasted and everything is homemade (I think). The whole place only fits about 20 people, so sometimes you have to wait a bit. Definitely worth a visit...
24

Great food, great crowd, beautiful bartenders and servers and great DJs playing during dinner. It's the perfect combination of a club and restaurant.

hot hostesses

I know I am supposed to choose some secret spot in the mission or something, but I really like Nick's Crispy tacos. They are consistently delicious and quick and easy because I live in the Marina. Steer clear of this place in Tuesdays, though. The specials are really good, but they get really packed...
12
what about Tacko?
24
Tacko has the same owners and a similar menu, but Nick's is still way better...
24
1
Bryan Lee has my vote. They have great service and a great selection of clothing.
10
What kind of styles does bryan lee jeans do?
12
what do you buy from here? satchels?

Blondies has a great selection of martini's and they are served with a shaker on the side. They have some great weekday Djs as well....
24

I'm not sure how to pronounce it, but the Profiteroles at Limon are pretty awesome. I also really like pretty much anything that Ben Paula comes up with at Sauce (try the Grilled PB&J-Pan Seared Sponge Cake Layered with Homemade Strawberry Preserve and Frangelico Peanut Butter Vanilla Ice Cream Center)
24
1
Giordano Bros. has the best fries hands down. Fresh-cut and fried...
24
1
The Melt has definitely become my favorite in the city. Blue Barn Gourmet is another great option (Try the Burrata w/ chicken added)
24
1
Boboquivari's Hands downs the best steak in SF!

I have been to more group dinners Mas Sake Freestyle Sushi than anywhere else. It's always a party in there and doing some group Sake bombs always sets the tone for the night...
8
Thinking back, I'm not sure I've ever participated in a group Sake bomb. It's time.
Definitely. They make their Sake bombs with cider instead of beer as well.
10
Cider sake bombs? Sounds incredibly tasty!

There are tons of great brunch spots in SF. Since it would be hard to pick one, I will just have to say that I just had a pretty amazing brunch The Brixton on Sunday. The Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict and the Sticky buns were both amazing. Great scene as well...
5
Fried chicken eggs Benedict? And you lived to tell about it? Where is this place?
6
It's in the Marina, on Union.

Monaghan's (Penn State Football), Giordano Bros. and Shanghai Kelly's for Stillers and The Brick Yard Restaurant & Bar for SF Sports.
14
Shanghai Kelly's is THE place to go if you're a Steelers fan. I used to go with my old roommate who is a a huge Steelers fan. The whole bar is into the game. It's almost as if you're in Heinz Field. So much fun
6
Shanghai Kelly's! I love that that place is super dog friendly.

Grubstake Diner if it's super late, but if you are looking for a great meal try Brazen Head. They serve a full menu until 1AM.
5
What kinds of food do these places serve? I'm a total night owl so always looking for another late night spot to check out.
24
Grubstake Diner is basically like a diner. Lets of unhealthy, but delicious things. The potato skins are pretty awesome. Brazen Head has great steaks and the chicken Marsala is great as well...
5
I love unhealthy and delicious things. Nothing better...Is Brazen Head expensive?
Not inexpensive but not outrageous either. $25-45ish if my memory serves for the steaks.
24
1
The Rib Whip. Check out some of their pre-Giants Game parties (they park right down the street...)

Frankie's Bohemian Cafe. Looks like a crappy little dive Bar, but they have incredible food. Lots of different things that I never heard of before. Great service as well...
Glad someone mentioned Frankie's Bohemian Cafe. The burgers and garlic fries are perfect.
5
Where is this place? I'll go anywhere with the word "Bohemian" in it. ;) I love dive bars with great food. You could also try Bender's Bar & Grill on 19th and South Van Ness. Great menu, rockin' bar with pool tables.

Where's your favorite place to stay in Vegas?
10
Cosmopolitan for me!
Dude I'm going to check out the Casino Royale. Gets amazing reviews on Yelp for a complete dive. My buddy's staying at the Venetian. With the money I save I'll see some shows.
24
Casino Royale looks pretty awesome. Amazing location and I kind of like the "dive bar" feel of the Casino that people mention on Yelp.

Yes The Brixton! Have you ever been for happy hour?

Love Happy Hour at The Brixton. Brunch is the best time, though...
