Great Mexican. Great Atmosphere. Great for Groups.

Fresh, great margaritas, good atmosphere. mmmmm

Low-key and unpretentious spot (they don't even have a sign alerting you that you've stumbled upon one of the best taco places in the city). Try the Pescado fish tacos, you won't be disappointed.

the tacos..so creative

Don Pisto's chicken verde enchiladas are insanely good.
one amazing hamburguesa.
Try their Tortilla Soup if you are looking for something warm an comforting. Watch out for their Margarita Pitcher...mostly tequilla!!

Already regetting posting this as it's usually easy to get seating here even at peak times, but Don Pisto's is the most fun and belly-fulfilling breakfast burrito experience I've had in SF.

Don Pisto's, best atmosphere

Nico's Tacos is a few feet away from Don Pistos. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the California Burrito makes me blush.

I love Don Pisto's. Have you tried their brunch?

I have been for Brunch and it is fantastic. Their bottomless sangria is reason enough to come but their food is also fantastic!
6
I prefer the agave mimosas...so tasty!

I've seen Don Pistos around, but have yet to ask: what do you like?
10
Don Pistos is great for large brunch groups. Their sangria is great and so are their huevos rancheros.
10
Courtney, what's better? Don Pisto's or Limón Peruvian Rotisserie? Help me make a decision.

Don Pisto's no doubt

I've heard good things. How's the juevos rancheros?
Really good! There menu is small and simple, but they got everything right on it. I went for about 10 out of the first 12 weekends that they offered brunch and made Pete the manager get a breakfast burrito on there by being a squeaky wheel.

Although Don Pisto's is a smaller venue, they're very accommodating to large groups. The hand-crafted cocktails and tapas-style sharing menu make Don Pistos the perfect destination for a celebration of any size!

Wow, this place looks great. I've gotta ask, what's your favorite taco? So many options. Also, Mexican Sashimi sounds like an interesting fusion. If you've had it, how is it?
6
I have not had the sashimi, but I have had and recommend the carnitas and carne asada tacos. They have great brunch too! Bottomless mimosas + chorizo & eggs = magic.
8
It's starting to feel like SF mimosas know no bottom, ever. I'm a huge fan of chorizo. I hope theirs can satisfy my fastidious standards. And, you took the tacos right out of my mouth. Exactly what I would have ordered. Touche.

Which cocktail is best?

The "mimosa": agave nectar, pineapple juice and rose

Is this a Latino or Spanish place? What do you like to order there?
6
LIKE. DOUBLE LIKE. I just went to Don Pisto's for the first time last weekend and I've gone two more times since. The mimosas are the best I've ever had: rose, agave nectar and pineapple juice---all that you can drink for $12!
5
Rose? That's a new one. Yum! Where is this place? Someone please give me directions immediately.
