Harry Denton's Starlight Room is great! Sort of romantic and cheesy at once. Another great place for singles is the Beauty Bar on 19th and Mission. Good DJs, fun dance floor and the bartenders have a famously heavy pour.

Beauty Bar is definitely my favorite - I had forgotten about the heavy pour but I always end up a bit looser than normal there :)

Yeah, it's a good time but definitely not the place to go if you intend to leave anywhere near sober!

I used to go to the Beauty Bar all the time and I always preferred weeknights because it's a very small place so it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. And then...I got married. Bye bye Beauty Bar.

You can also get a manicure there while you drink. You know you need one. ;) No- we met at a show of comic book art that I curated many years ago.

Cafe Bastille is great. Have you been for brunch? They have bottomless mimosas and a pretty awesome food menu.

Of course, walking around the Palace of Fine Arts or Cliff House at night sets the mood just right.
