A Guide to Navigating DC Restaurant Week
Now that the holidays are over and your New Year’s Resolutions are set in motion, it’s easy to feel like there’s nothing to look forward to until springtime.
DC is known for its grey and dreary winters and, come February, Jack Frost nipping at your nose will have lost its festive charm. Luckily, DC area residents will have another excuse to mingle and be merry with it’s upcoming, twice-annual, Restaurant Week.
Running January 9th-15th, over 200 area restaurants will be participating in the citywide event, with 3-course lunches for $20.12 and 3-course dinners for $35.12 (the twelve cents reflecting the current year, for anyone baffled by the odd price). A full listing of restaurants can be found at: www.restaurantweekmetrodc.org and many offer online reservations through OpenTable.
With this being my sixth DC Restaurant Week (three as a server and soon to be three as an enthusiastic guest) here are a few personal tips I use when making my own Restaurant Week reservations.
