Her Ideal Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that girls tend to feel pretty strongly about. Excitement, nonchalance, and loathing are some reoccurring themes I’ve noticed whenever the subject comes up.

I think finding a happy medium somewhere between excitement and nonchalance is the best way to take on the day. Those who are Valentine-less don’t need to tell anybody who'll listen just how much they HATE Valentine’s Day, and there are ways you can celebrate it regardless of your relationship status.

No matter your take on the “day of love,” I think we can all agree that it’s pretty weird that its mascot is a fat, winged, diapered baby angel with a loaded weapon. This year, I would love to see people take the traditional aspects of Valentine’s Day such as cards, candy, flowers, wining and dining, and add a little twist to make this February 14th one to remember.

interesting, i've always thought flowers are funny too
Ditto your comment. I agree 100% partners can find so many more valuable ways to "I love you" and make the moment last forever..

Thanks for throwing it out there. Flowers, the emptiest of empty gestures, it's time to die.
