Noodle Craze: Ramen vs. Phở

One of the best parts of living in San Francisco is not having to settle for food court Asian fare. But soon a new problem presents itself: Which cuisine do you choose? Of course it all comes down to personal taste, but comparisons can be made.

Take ramen and ph, for example. They're both noodle soups, both cheap eats and both bursting with the flavors of their native cultures. But after a few years of rigorous taste-testing, I think I've figured out which dish has the better value proposition.

What about a pho/ramen hybrid?
Ramen has more depth and flavors...
Ramen's better.

This article should probably be called "why I really like Pho and don't appreciate Ramen enough."

I like both but ramen to me is more on the flavor side. Both are great soup-types, but Pho is duplicated in most restaurants, whereas ramen can be more on the variety side.
