Un-Valentines Day Activities for the Un-Hitched

The only Valentines I've ever received were perfunctory ones from my parents. And maybe some from classmates in elementary school. Oh, and the nose-picker in my 7th grade homeroom. Needless to say, I am to Valentine's Day what the Grinch is to Christmas.

I know my single brothers and sisters feel my acrimony. As if it wasn't enough to be single the other 364 days of the year, Valentine's Day highlights the absence of a significant other as if you were missing a kidney.

So what's a singleton to do on their least favorite day of the year other than revel in the alternative lifestyle? In the spirit of reclaiming the holiday, we've compiled a list of un-Valentines Day activities for the un-hitched. If you're part of a couple, enjoy your candy, roses, and spooning. And be jealous of us for once.

"If orgy bowls and tranny stripteases don't cheer you up on national singles shame day, you might as well throw in the towel with life." Well-written, humorous and a great read! Johnny Utah's is a pretty fun tourist spot, and since it's on 51st and 6th Ave, it's great for those commuting from CT or Long Island because it's easy to get to from Grand Central. Definitely a bar you want to check out.
National Singles' Shame Day-I like the edgey ring of it! Much more fun than sloppy sentimental saint (who is this valentine guy anyway?) day.
